The true loves of my life are my bountiful garden, two energetic dogs, and my dear, patient husband. Professionally speaking though, I absolutely love my work.
As an independent freelance Art Director and Motion Designer, I’ve art-directed and designed my heart out in projects from broadcast motion to web and interactive and corporate projects.
For fifteen years, I held the role of lead senior motion designer of The Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago. During that time I was responsible for all areas of broadcast design for the show, including broadcast motion design, set graphics, online/web content, on air promos, and personal projects for Ms. Winfrey.
I art directed Oprah’s crowd-pleasing “Favorite Things” and the Oprah’s Book Club shows. These were very personal to Oprah and were extremely well received by audiences and critics.
I helped bring to life the exciting new look of Oprah’s set for the twentieth anniversary. The set, composed of nineteen custom video displays, was a huge project that took two years and literally hundreds of talented people to develop. I was charged with creating the look that was the setting for each show and I couldn’t be prouder!
I thrived on the chemistry that was established in the intense, deadline driven environment that was The Oprah Winfrey Show and the production work flow that emerged was part dance, part rocket launch and all fun.
I am passionate about my work. I’m a dedicated, hardworking, team player with outstanding art direction, design, and animation skills. My deep experience in television, corporate, and agency projects puts me at ease in high-pressure, high-stakes environments with limited budgets and tight deadlines.
I look forward to working with you!
